So since I just registered for this blog I'll recap the trials and tribulations of the first week, which, in hindsight have been pretty minimal. Started the screenplay for White Lightning and I'm hoping that it can fill a niche as well as present likeable characters. Still struggling with some of the dialogue but the overall framework of the script itself is put together nicely I think.
Been advertising for some crew and got a few bites; will have to check that out as time progresses. Despite all the coffee I drank, I still need a nap. School + Work + Preproduction + other commitments is making my final semester a bit overbearing.
Really want to have a working script done by mid-February if for nothing else for the table reads I plan on having. It's imperative that I let the cast get 'into' character rather than starting at the location (a bad tendency I have considering we usually put our films together in a few hours).
It's been an encouraging first week to say the least. I feel like I'm slowly picking up steam in regards to the film and will get with my dad to film a short trailer time permitting today or tomorrow. Should be fun, he's always interesting to work with if for nothing else than the criticism he offers. Hopefully I can convince him to shoot the scene, he tends to rely heavily on an invisible agent that I have to make appointments with in order to 'work' with him.
Actors.
